THG Nutrition recalls Myprotein cookie product due to undeclared gluten, posing a health risk to those with coeliac disease or allergies.

THG Nutrition Limited has issued a voluntary recall of its Myprotein Gooey Filled Cookie, Double Chocolate & Caramel after it was discovered that the product contains wheat (gluten), which is not listed on the packaging.
The oversight poses a significant health risk to consumers with coeliac disease or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten. In response, the company is taking what it describes as “an abundance of caution” in pulling the affected batches from shelves.
Product details
- Product name: Myprotein Gooey Filled Cookie, Double Chocolate & Caramel
- Pack sizes: 75g (Single Cookie) and 12 x 75g (Box of 12)
- Batch codes: All codes
- Best before dates: 17 June 2025 to 16 July 2026
THG Nutrition confirmed that the cookies were produced and labelled by a third-party manufacturer, which the company says holds the highest food safety rating, BRCGS Grade AA. The issue reportedly affects only a limited number of batches made by this external partner.
In a statement, Myprotein assured customers:
The vast majority of Myprotein products are made in-house at our own state-of-the-art facilities, which also hold BRCGS Grade AA accreditation. Your safety is our top priority, and we’re working closely with our manufacturing partner to understand how this happened and to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
The company has notified allergy support organisations, which will alert their members to the recall. A recall notice has also been issued to customers, explaining the issue and advising them on the next steps.
FSA advice to consumers
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is urging consumers who have purchased the cookies and have coeliac disease, or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, not to eat the product. Instead, they are advised to return it to the store from which it was purchased for a full refund.
