This week’s recall roundup from the UK and North America includes incorrectly labelled food and contamination by Listeria monocytogenes.

In the UK…

Waitrose is recalling Chinese 6 Vegetable Spring Rolls because some packs may contain Duck Spring Rolls, which contain sesame and meat (duck) which are not mentioned on the label. Lidl is recalling McEnnedy Supersize Peanut Flips because they contain peanuts which may not be mentioned in the product ingredients list and Sondey Organic Biscuits Assorted because they contain peanuts, oats (gluten), sesame, milk and hazelnuts which may not mentioned on the label. 

Sogud Ltd is recalling various gluten-free flapjack products because they contain gluten which is not mentioned on the label. Belfield are recalling Ice King Strawberry Cones because the product has been mispacked with choc and nut ice cream cones. The product contains peanuts which are not mentioned on the label. 

Yorkshire Provender is recalling Moroccan Vegetable Tagine Soup with ‘use by’ date 15/10/19 due to incorrect date labelling. The product should have been labelled with a ‘use by’ date of 15/01/19. This means the product may be unsafe to eat if consumed after the intended ‘use by’ date of 15/01/19.

In North America…

In Canada, Cape Breton Fudge Co. is recalling Cape Breton Coal candy from the marketplace because it contains walnuts which are not declared on the label. Eat Smart brand Salad Shake Ups (single serve) are being recalled from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Bulk Barn Foods Limited is recalling certain Coco Polo brand Dark Cocoa Bars from the marketplace because they contain milk which is not declared on the label.

In America, Oskri Organics Corporation of Lake Mills is recalling Oskri Organic Sunflower Butter and Thrive Sunflower Butter, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Grand Strand Sandwich Company is recalling Lunch Box sandwiches, Italian Subs Lunch Box sandwiches, Ham & Swiss croissants, and Lunch Box sandwiches ham & cheese due to possible Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.

Shamrock Farms of Phoenix, Arizona is issuing a voluntary recall of Shamrock Farms 2 percent Reduced Fat Vanilla Half Gallon Milk with Best Before Date 3/16/2019. The recall comes after a product retain of Shamrock Farms 2 percent Reduced Fat Vanilla Half Gallon Milk with Use By 03/16/19, tested positive for an undeclared tree nut (almond) allergen.
