Morrisons has recalled its Savers Salad Cream across England, Scotland, and Wales after discovering undeclared egg and mustard in the product, which pose a potential health risk to people with allergies.
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
The recall affects Morrisons Savers Salad Cream, 420g pack size, batch code L25 122, with a best before date of August 2026.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) confirmed that the label failed to list the ingredients, making the product unsafe for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg and/or mustard.
Morrisons has notified allergy support organisations and issued customer recall notices explaining the problem and what steps affected shoppers should take.
In a statement, the retailer said: “No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
Morrisons is advising consumers not to eat the product and to return it to any store for a full refund, with no receipt required. For further information, customers can contact Morrisons Customer Services on 0345 611 6111.
The recall follows a similar incident at Aldi earlier this week, after the retailer withdrew its Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin Cut Beef Steaks and Panatas Part-Baked Six-Pack Custard Tarts due to undeclared allergens.
