Recalls from the UK and North America included mislabelled products, undisclosed egg and contamination with bacteria.

In the UK…

Jumbo UK is recalling Ghana Taste Tom Brown Millet Based Porridge because it contains peanuts which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts. Yorkshire Fine Cheese is recalling Barncliffe Brie because Listeria monocytogenes has been found in one batch. The business has taken the precautionary step of recalling a further two batches that may contain Listeria monocytogenes. 

The Village Bakery Markethill is recalling numerous bakery products because they contain various undeclared or incorrectly labelled allergens. The company is extending its recall of numerous bakery products because they contain further undeclared or incorrectly labelled allergens and further affected products.

In North America…

In Canada, Indigo Natural Foods Inc. is recalling Indigo Packaged Goodness brand Brewers Yeast Debittered from the marketplace because it contains peanut which is not declared on the label. Certain Ottogi brand noodle products are being recalled from the marketplace because they may contain egg which is not declared on the label. Sofina Foods Inc. is recalling Crisp & Delicious brand Chicken Breast Nuggets from the marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination.

In America, Frito-Lay announced a limited voluntary recall of a very small number of 7 1/3 oz. bags of Stacy’s Simply Naked Pita Chips because they may contain undeclared milk ingredients.  The Santa Rosa Whole Foods Market store is voluntarily recalling eight packages of its “Hipster Chipster” cookies because they contain undeclared tree nut (walnut), milk, and egg allergens that were not listed on the product label. The “Hipster Chipster” cookies were distributed at the Whole Foods Market at 1181 Yulupa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95405, with one allergic reaction being reported to date.

Oskri Organics Corporation of Lake Mills, WI is recalling ALL Oskri Corporation manufactured nut butters. This recall has been initiated due to positive test results for Listeria monocytogenes found in multiple Oskri Corporation manufactured nut butters; consumption of this product may cause potential health risk.

In response to a recall by Satur Farms, Whole Foods Market is voluntarily recalling various prepared foods items in eight states containing baby spinach because of a potential contamination of Salmonella.
