Ed Sheeran hits on the ‘perfect’ saucy duo

Singer songwriter Ed Sheeran launches a duet of spicy sauces, Tingly Ted’s, that will be available worldwide from this week.

If you’re a fan of Ed Sheeran, it’s apparently common knowledge that he loves his sauces. In fact, he has quite the array; with a different bottle for every and all occasions. Not content with schlepping a selection with him on his travels, however, he needed one to suit his jet-setting lifestyle that covered all bases; enter stage left, Tingly Ted’s hot sauce.
The musical genius set about this latest creative endeavour with the assistance of a band of a different kind – some expert sauce makers. Almost two years in the making, Tingly Ted’s range is compact, featuring just two varieties: Tingly and Xtra Tingly. The songwriter claims they’re the perfect accompaniment to just about any meal, from the standard nuggets and fries, to falafels, vegan burgers and haloumi cubes. Reflecting on their versatility, Sheeran commented: “there really isn’t anything they don’t go with…except bananas, don’t do that”.
Named after Ed’s childhood nickname, Tingly Ted’s hits all the right notes, being vegan-friendly and fresh with no added colours, artificial flavours or preservatives. Their eco credentials also get top billing as the bottles are not only fully recyclable but are also made with recycled materials.
“I travel a lot, so having a bottle in my suitcase wherever I go that can spice up any and every meal seemed like a good idea. I knew I didn’t wanna do a watery hot sauce, as they usually all get relegated to the same shelf as other random hot sauces.” he said. Illustrating his renowned ambition, he continued: “I wanted to make a sauce that took the same pride of place as ketchup.
“I had a year of whittling down the perfect flavours with a great mixing team, and we settled on two absolute belters. The Tingly and the Xtra Tingly. I’ve had them on tour with me recently to try them with all sorts of meals.
“I’m so excited to bring this product out, it’s genuinely something I use every day on all three meals. I hope you love them as much as I do.”
Given that the proof of the pudding is in the eating, we’d best get dipping; only time will tell if Tingly Ted’s will go the distance!
