For the first time, Eagle Product Inspection will show its advanced inspection capabilities in Spain, during the inspeccionaLIVE event, 20 November-22 November in Barcelona at the Hotel Porta Fira.

While Eagle is coming to Barcelona, European meat and poultry processors can come to the show to test their products on one or more of the company’s x-ray and fat analysis systems.

“Using the latest inspection technologies, Eagle’s systems can detect a variety of contaminants while simultaneously conducting checks for missing or damaged product, fill level, uniformity, component count and more. Our fat analysis systems can reduce annual production costs of up to a million euros,” said Simon King, Head of Global Sales, Service and Marketing for Eagle Product Inspection.

At inspeccionaLIVE, attendees can visit and test up to four advanced x-ray inspection solutions for the detection of contaminants, fat analysis and other online verifications. Some of these systems include:

  • Eagle FA3/M: Using the latest generation of Eagle’s dual-energy x-ray absorption (DEXA) technology, the Eagle FA3/M is an online fat content analysis system that differentiates between portions of lean meat and fat in 100% of production and provides the most accurate Chemical Lean (CL) measurements for a variety of products, including blocks of fresh, chilled, frozen and hot boned bulk meat, frozen or tempered “naked blocks” and unwrapped meat transported in plastic boxes.
  • Eagle Pack 400 HC provides superior contaminant detection of foreign bodies in packages ranging from plastic containers to cartons and boxes to bags, in addition to performing key integrity checks like mass measurement, stamp inspection and component count.
  • Eagle Pack 430 PRO, used to inspect medium-sized packaged products, automatically detects and rejects physical contaminants including glass shards, metal fragments, mineral stones, some plastic and rubber and calcified bones. The multifunctional machine also conducts integrity checks such as mass measurement, seal inspection and component count.
  • Eagle Pipeline is used for the inspection of products like ground meat, whole meat pieces, soups, sauces and bouillons that flow through pipelines. The system inspects pumped products and rejects contaminants before they move downstream in the production process and cause safety risks or production downtime.

“At a time when there is a greater need for speed, along with growing demand for product information, these advanced inspection solutions and accompanying proprietary software provide results in real time and allow for greater traceability, reduction of claims related to fat values and the elimination of batch reprocessing tasks. Efficiency is a priority, for us and for the food companies we work with,” said King.
