Gist, an award-winning logistics specialist that combines comprehensive industry-specific experience with leading-edge expertise to transform supply chains, is opening a new primary consolidation hub in Hemel Hempstead.
The new regional distribution centre (RDC) will service food manufacturers in London and the South East of England.
The (RDC) will link into Gist’s European temperature controlled network, providing a gateway into UK retailers for food producers in Western Europe. The site represents an expansion of Gist’s temperature controlled primary network which provides national coverage for chilled volume to the major retailers. The RDC will open in May 2016 and will offer transport, cross-docking and consolidation and a range of added value warehouse services.
This unique event will help you address the impact on your business of the UK's exit from the EU, with presentations from Brexit thought-leaders, peer networking, debate and discussion.
Commenting on the opening of the RDC, Martin Gwynn, Chief Executive, Gist, said: “Gist is delighted to announce the opening of our new regional distribution centre. Our network capability continues to grow as we support the success of our customers.
