Gregory previously spent 26 years with Marks and Spencer where, working as their Technical Director he was instrumental in growing the retailer’s hugely successful food business. Following his tenure with the retailer he then worked as Chairman of consumer label Red Tractor until last year when he stepped down in November. David has a portfolio of non-exec roles including British Retail Consortium Trading Ltd and 2 Sisters Food Group, the UK’s largest food manufacturer.

David Gregory said of his appointment: “I am really delighted to join this highly successful and rapidly growing international business, whose customer focus and ability to provide tailored solutions for food safety and compliance from fisheries and farming through manufacturing, retail and food service is unique in the market place.”

Acoura Director Paul Egan said of the appointment:“I am delighted that David has joined our business at a time of significant opportunity and I am sure he will be instrumental in helping to deliver our next stage of corporate development. David is part of the fabric of the food industry and brings with him experience gained at the very highest level and is a perfect fit for our team. Last year was a landmark year for the company, with major growth across all our business sectors. With this in mind I believe David’s strong industry knowledge will improve our offering across the supply chain, which in turn will help further strengthen and protect our customers brands.”

Gregory has been appointed in a non-executive capacity and starts working with Acoura with immediate effect.
