Mile High Labs has recently moved into its state-of-the-art 400,000-square-foot former pharmaceutical facility and is launching a white label offering which includes a variety of CBD beauty products.

The recent Pure Beauty awards ceremony in London was a huge success, as glitzy as ever, with the best of the best in the cosmetic industry celebrating their successes and letting their hair down as only the beauty industry does in style!

So far, so normal, however, there was a hint of change in the air, with the arrival of Christian Hendriksen from Mile High Labs who was there to present the ‘Best Wellness Product’ award. One of the winners in the category was a CBD-infused beauty product, a development which heralds a change in the cosmetics industry which many have been predicting over the past 18 months.

CBD is today’s superstar beauty ingredient. Shiona Redmond, a London-based CBD expert recently interviewed in Forbes magazine, said that for those who would prefer not to ingest CBD orally, topical CBD products like skincare oils, body balms, bath bombs and face masks are also increasing in popularity. Redmond says: “CBD extracts can be absorbed through the epidermis layers of the skin to interact with cannabinoid receptors located on skin surface cells. With the skin being the largest organ of the human body, what we put on our skin doesn’t only affect the skin, but it can have long-lasting effects on our health and general wellbeing.”

The global CBD skincare market size is expected to reach $1.7 billion by 2025, according to a recent report by Grand View Research, Inc, expanding at a growth rate of 32.9 percent over the forecast period. The perceived wellness properties of CBD ingredients are expected to encourage manufacturers to develop products infused with these ingredients, thereby driving the market in the coming years.

Mile High Labs places a major emphasis on a collective vision for the longevity of the CBD industry. It is certainly earning a name for itself around setting the standards for quality, compliance, traceability and consistency. Overall, the company stresses its commitment to taking the industry forward and making CBD more accessible through scientific innovation and research.

The company recently moved into its newly acquired, state-of-the-art 400,000-square-foot former pharmaceutical facility. This facility will become the global centre for CBD manufacturing and research. An exciting addition is the launch of the white label offering. This ensures that the product can be consistently manufactured, and that the CBD content will meet the label claim throughout shelf life.

Here’s a small peak of what the company is doing in the cosmetics space alone:

  • Prototype formulation
  • Stability indicating validated analytical methods
  • R&D stability
  • Anti-microbial preservative effectiveness testing
  • Water activity.

The white label offering has a variety of products from skin care to bath and body and the company predicts that new innovations are on the way. Exciting times for Mile High Labs!
