Nestlé Chief Executive Officer Paul Bulcke has been elected as co-chair of the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF).

The CGF is a global industry network that brings together leaders and senior management from more than 400 retailers, manufacturers, service providers and other stakeholders across 70 countries.

It provides a global platform for organisations to exchange knowledge and best practice around five strategic priorities central to the advancement of the consumer goods industry: emerging trends, sustainability, health and safety, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing and people development.

“There are many challenges in society today and we have to define priorities to work together in collaboration with multiple stakeholders in order to bring sustainable solutions,” said Mr Bulcke.

“I am looking forward to serving The Consumer Goods Forum, which is growing in importance, and supporting its vision of ‘better lives through better business.”

Mr Bulcke has been elected as co-chair alongside Dick Boer, CEO of international retail group Royal Ahold.
