Conglomerates such as Mars, Incorporated, Target, The Coca-Cola Company, Unilever United States, and Walmart have joined the US Plastics Pact, an initiative to unify stakeholders across the plastics value chain.
The initiatives share a collective ambition to address plastic waste and pollution at its source, by moving toward a circular economy where plastic stays in the economy and out of the environment.
Building on its 2018 commitment to make 100 percent of its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025, Nestlé aims to reduce its use of virgin plastics by one third whilst working to advance the circular economy and clean up plastic waste from oceans, lakes and rivers.
