Jim Moseley, Managing Director of General Mills UK, Ireland and the Nordic markets, has been elected President of the Food and Drink Federation1, the voice of the UK’s largest manufacturing sector. His term will start January 1st 2011.

For the past 4 years in his role as, successively Vice and Deputy President of FDF, Moseley has been chairing its Food Safety and Scientific Steering Group and acting as the UK representative on the Board of the European Food and Drink Federation, CIAA.

Moseley will be replacing current FDF President Ross Warburton.

Jim Moseley said: “Ross has done a great job in ensuring that our sector’s voice has been heard during a very challenging period of major political change and great economic uncertainty. During my Presidency I want to build on his achievements in raising the profile of our important sector and working in partnership with Government to ensure that the future success of our industry underpins the UK’s economic recovery.”

Welcoming the appointment, Ross Warburton said: “I am delighted to be handing the baton on to Jim. He is already playing an important part in FDF’s success and I know that under his leadership FDF will continue to flourish.”
