Beatson Clark appoints new Head of Quality

Leading glass packaging manufacturer, Beatson Clark has announced the appointment of Phillip Lamb to the position of Head of Quality.

Phillip, 44, joins the company with over 25 years of experience in the personal care and food manufacturing companies, Robert McBride Ltd and Northern Foods.

Phillip commented: “This is an exciting opportunity for me and I’m really pleased to be joining Beatson Clark at this time. It’s great to be involved at the early stages of a new comprehensive business strategy that will ensure we continue to lead the niche quality glass container market. For me, this is also a personal challenge that will draw on my expertise within the demanding area of FMCG. Even with a new team and technology the fundamentals of quality remain the same.

Phillip, who holds a Post Graduate Degree in Total Quality Management, has already started to get to know his team and is holding individual talks with its members to consolidate each of their strengths. Phillip continued: “I feel this approach will allow a more direct focus of activities and help me in the creation of a continuous improvement plan for products, furnaces, lines and the production area. I will also be ensuring that our quality systems, including the ISO 9001:2008 and BRC/IoP accreditation are further built upon to add value to the business and help our customers to further recognize Beatson Clark as a quality supplier that delivers a difference.”

Phillip lives with his family in Linthwaite near Huddersfield.
