Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB) today announced that Ellen Oran Kaden, Senior Vice President – Chief Legal and Public Affairs Officer, has informed the company of her decision to retire from Campbell on May 1, 2015. Kaden, 63, has served as Campbell’s chief legal officer since she joined the company in 1998. She will step down from her current role on January 31, 2015, and serve as Senior Advisor to the CEO through May 1.

Denise Morrison, Campbell’s President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “During more than 16 years of distinguished service to Campbell, Ellen has built a world class legal department, government affairs team, and public affairs and corporate social responsibility group. She has been an invaluable advisor to me and the Board of Directors, and a key member of the Campbell Leadership Team. We have all benefitted greatly from Ellen’s superb professional expertise and judgment, keen strategic insight and powerful commitment to the company and its shareholders. I deeply admire her leadership and integrity. We thank Ellen for her many outstanding contributions to Campbell and wish her all the best in the years to come.”

The company will conduct a search for Kaden’s successor. Both internal and external candidates will be considered.
