BIOTECON Diagnostics GmbH Potsdam, Germany and DORNIER-LTF GmbH Lindau, Germany announce their new OEM partnership in July 2014.

Based on DORNIER-LTF’s liquid handling robots, BIOTECON Diagnostics will distribute worldwide their own automation solution specialized for the food and feed industry and the environmental sector.

The foodproof® Roboset+ powered by DORNIER-LTF combined with BIOTECON Diagnostics’ foodproof® real-time PCR based pathogen detection kits (e.g. for Salmonella) is the perfect solution for automated food diagnostics.

During the past months the foodproof® RoboSet+ successfully passed an intensive validation at BIOTECON Diagnostics’ laboratories. Besides the foodproof® Robo-Prep+ HT for high sample throughput, the RoboSet+ is the second automated PCR-Setup solution for PCR-based microbial tests specialized for the food sector and also for laboratories with significant lower throughput.

DORNIER-LTF and BIOTECON Diagnostics share many synergies and both companies look forward to introducing this innovative and as well favorable automation technology.

“This cooperation is another important step for us in the global expansion of our markets, in which the automation and standardization of processes has become increasingly important,” says Kornelia

Berghof-Jäger, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BIOTECON Diagnostics. “The strength of our automation systems lies in focused product development based on clients’ needs”, emphasizes Alois Schneiderbauer, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of BIOTECON Diagnostics.

“This OEM partnership is the consistent extension of the existing good collaboration of the two companies. DORNIER-LTF considers itself again as a reliable engineering contractor and partner for technologically demanding solutions”, Rudolf Walser, General Manager of DORNIER-LTF, explains.

The foodproof® RoboSet+ is suitable for all fields in the food industry that perform pathogen testing.
