Overview

Norwich Research Park is one of the largest centres of research in Europe.

It is one of only five BBSRC funded Research and Innovation Campuses in the UK. It is the only site with three BBSRC funded research Institutes – The Earlham Institute, the Quadram Institute and the John Innes Centre. The site is also home to a fourth research institute – The Sainsbury Laboratory, the University of East Anglia, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and over 30 high-tech businesses.

Anglia Innovation Partnership is the science park management entity on the park, supporting collaboration across all partners and managing campus-wide initiatives such as the new Enterprise Strategy and a programme of community-building events.

With 100,000 sq. ft of flexible lab and office accommodation and 1.6m sq. ft of planning consent, the campus is set to grow by attracting a wide range of companies that want to join the community and benefit from access to:

  • a specialist skills pool
  • technology platforms
  • a campus-wide enterprise strategy including access to pre-seed funds
  • a growing programme of events including sports and social activities to help attract and retain the best people and industry events to help with networking, opportunities to collaborate and keeping informed of latest developments

Our research specialisms can be summarised as the application of ‘modern industrial biotechnology’ which includes non-traditional drug discovery, agribiotech, food biotech and industrial biotech, applied to global challenges including food security, climate change and improvements to human health.

Engage with us by signing up for our newsletter, registering for our events, joining our community as a ‘virtual tenant’, using our informal working facilities and meetings rooms in Centrum, and applying for our pre-seed funds.
