Marks & Spencer recalls Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla after undeclared gluten discovered, posing potential health risk to coeliac consumers.

Marks & Spencer has recalled its Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla after discovering the product may contain undeclared gluten not listed on the label.
The recall affects Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla (500g) with a use-by date of 12 May 2026. The retailer said the action was taken “out of an abundance of caution” after identifying the potential presence of gluten, which could pose a health risk for consumers with gluten allergies or intolerance, including those with coeliac disease.
The recall follows another recent supermarket withdrawal after Aldi recalled The Fishmonger Hot Smoked 2 Salmon Fillets – Honey Roasted due to a labelling error involving an incorrect use-by date.
Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks & Spencer and we take food safety extremely seriously.”
The retailer confirmed that no other Marks & Spencer products are affected by the recall.
Marks & Spencer has contacted relevant allergy support organisations to ensure their members are informed. In addition, point-of-sale notices are being displayed in stores selling the product and on the company’s website, explaining the reason for the recall and advising customers on what to do if they have purchased the affected yoghurt.
Marks & Spencer also apologised “for any inconvenience caused.”
Customers who have purchased the product and have an allergy or intolerance to gluten, or have coeliac disease, are advised not to eat it and instead return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund.
