Lidl GB has issued an urgent recall of its Snaktastic Multigrain Bites Sour Cream & Black Pepper across England, Scotland and Wales due to the possible presence of foil. The retailer warned the affected product could pose a choking hazard, making it unsafe to eat.

The recall applies to 150g packs (6x25g) with batch code 207 345 and a best before date of 04 April 2026. Lidl said the product may contain pieces of foil, making it a possible choking hazard and unsafe to eat.

The supermarket has placed point of sale notices in all stores selling the product, explaining the reason for the recall and advising customers on the next steps.

Lidl confirmed the recall does not affect any other Snaktastic products.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.”

Customers who have purchased the impacted snack are advised not to eat it. Instead, they should return it to any Lidl GB store for a full refund.

Tesco issues separate allergen-related recall

The Lidl recall comes alongside separate action by Tesco, which has withdrawn Tesco Special Fried Rice after failing to declare wheat (gluten) on the label.

The recall affects 350g packs with a use by date of 02 February 2026 and presents a potential health risk for consumers with a wheat or gluten allergy, intolerance or coeliac disease.

Tesco has advised affected customers not to eat the product and to return it to any store for a full refund.
