Rapid PCR detection of food pathogens can be challenging with complex sample matrices. The Assurance® GDS uses immunomagnetic separation (IMS) technology for pathogen enrichment and the innovative PickPen® device. Magnetic particles in the device are coated with specific antibodies to quickly collect and transfer target DNA from the enriched sample to the amplification tube for PCR analysis.
