The 2012 IAFP European Symposium on Food Safety will be held in Warsaw, Poland, May 21–23, 2012. The conference is organized in collaboration with the International Life Sciences Institute Europe and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

New for 2012, the IAFP European Symposium Organizing Committee invites food safety experts and interested individuals in Europe and around the world to submit symposium proposals for presentation. Each session will be 90 minutes, with three speakers, each speaking for 30 minutes. The submission deadline is Tuesday, November 29, 2011. All proposals must be E-mailed with the required paperwork to Terri Huffman, Program Coordinator, at: [email protected].

Technical (oral) and poster presentation submissions are being accepted until Tuesday, March 6, 2012. All submissions must be submitted online at: http://www.foodprotection.org/events/european-symposia/. Individuals may submit multiple abstracts and, if accepted, must present their research in person at the conference.

Since 2005, IAFP’s European Symposium on Food Safety has been shaping the future of food safety by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas with colleagues from across Europe working in industry, government, and academia.

The mission of the International Association for Food Protection and purpose of the European Symposium is to ‘provide food safety professionals worldwide with a forum to exchange information on protecting the food supply.’ This Symposium is an excellent forum to gain knowledge about the latest developments and techniques in food science and safety.
