Dr. Hannes Orelma
Dr. Hannes Orelma works as a Research Team Leader at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. His research group develops lignocellulose-based materials by drawing inspiration from nature and using chemistry as a tool. He holds a D.Sc. (Tech.) degree from Aalto University, Finland, where his doctoral research focused on the development of functional cellulose materials. He has extensive expertise in the colloidal and surface chemistry of lignocellulose-based materials. Dr. Orelma has authored more than 65 peer-reviewed articles and is an inventor on several patent applications concerning novel lignocellulose-based material solutions.
