Unfortunately, there are regular food poisoning outbreaks associated with a wide range of fresh produce crops, recently Listeria on sweetcorn, Salmonella on Galia Melons, E coli 0157 on lettuce to name but a few.

The key to ensuring safe crop production is to identify the main areas of potential contamination and then develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate these risks.

This training course will aim to develop attendees’ understanding and knowledge in these areas, to allow them to use their skills to practically identify and manage contamination risk in real-world situations, in a wide range of crop production situations.
