The Food Standards Agency is looking to appoint a new expert member to join the General Advisory Committee on Science (GACS).

GACS provides independent challenge and advice to the Chief Scientist and the FSA Board on the FSA’s governance and use of science.

Applicants should have a proven academic or professional track record of expertise in science relevant to the work of the FSA. The Agency is particularly interested in hearing from applicants with nutrition expertise.

Ideally, applicants should have experience of working on committees, working in the food industry and experience of risk assessment, use of science in policy or science governance.
