Quorn has recalled two batches of its Chef’s Selection Meat Free Beef Steaks in the UK because the wrong product has been packaged.

Affected frozen Quorn Chef’s Selection Meat Free Beef Steaks 180g packs have the date codes:

  • 705081 BBE December 2016 (in Tesco and Morrisons stores only)
  • 705118 BBE January 2017 (Tesco and Asda Stores Only)

The packs contain a different Quorn product that contain allergans

The products are being recalled because a number of packs contain Quorn Chef’s Selection Meat Free Melt in the Middle Burgers which contain the allergens Wheat Gluten, Barley Gluten and Milk which are not declared on the packaging.

There is therefore a risk of allergic reactions to the Wheat Gluten and Celery contained within these packs.

If you have purchased any Quorn Chef’s Selection Meat Free Beef Steaks 180g with a date code of either 705081 BBE December 2016 or 705118 BBE January 2017 to your retailer for a full refund.
