The symposium will be held at Cardiff City Hall in the heart of the city, within walking distance of a large variety of hotels, Cardiff Castle, the Millennium Stadium, and the Gallery of Wales. Also nearby is the National Museum, which will be the location of a Tuesday Evening Social.

This year’s symposium promises an interesting and varied list of food safety topics for attendees. Approximately 150 poster and technical presentations will take place throughout the three days, along with 24 symposia sessions, covering topics such as: ‘The US Food Safety Modernization Act: What Does it Mean for Europe?’; ‘The Importance of Microbiological Testing in Food Safety Management’; ‘Integrative Aspects in Food Safety Risk Assessment’; and ‘Bacterial Spores in Foods: Safety and Quality Aspects’. Plenary and closing sessions will highlight speakers from the Welsh government and international regulatory agencies.
