Last night Campden BRI was announced winner of the Best Place to Work in the Gloucester Citizen and Gloucestershire Echo Business Awards 2013.

Campden BRI is a dynamic, cutting-edge research organisation that provides world-leading practical scientific, technical, legislative and information support to the global food and drink industry. The company’s HQ in Chipping Campden employs around 300 people and is equipped with extensive state-of-the-art laboratories, full-scale pilot plants and training and conference facilities. Campden BRI counts the biggest global players in the food and drink industry as its clients.

Although the Gloucestershire Business Awards are now in their 16th year, this is the first time Campden BRI has entered. Steven Walker, Director General, Campden BRI said:

“We are delighted to win the award. We were up against stiff competition and the judges commented on how hard it was to come to a decision. We recognise that our highly skilled employees are the lifeblood of the business and our reputation as a centre of technical excellence rests with them. The company has gone through significant changes over the last few years, to strengthen its activities and establish the strong business performance necessary to enable continued investment in people, skills and facilities. None of this would have been possible without the loyalty, commitment and dedication of our staff – and this award is recognition of everyone’s efforts.

We are also very proud to be a major employer in the county, and one of Gloucestershire’s high-tech businesses. This recognition of Campden BRI as a great place to work will help ensure that we continue to recruit the very best people to help the business grow and develop.”
